Setting Up Terms and Holidays

Terms define the teaching periods in your studio. By setting up terms and marking holiday periods, you keep your calendar accurate and ensure invoices reflect the correct number of lessons.

A term represents a block of teaching weeks with a start date and an end date. Clefora uses terms to:

  • Scope your calendar — Lessons are scheduled within term boundaries.
  • Calculate billing — Invoices can be generated per term, covering all lessons in that period.
  • Block holidays — Holiday periods within a term automatically prevent lessons from being scheduled on those dates.
  1. Open the Hub and go to Terms & Holidays in the sidebar.
  2. Click Add term.
  3. Enter a term name (e.g. “Spring 2026”).
  4. Set the start date and end date.
  5. Click Save.

Holiday periods are date ranges within a term when no lessons take place. When you add a holiday, Clefora automatically blocks those dates on your calendar.

  1. Open the term you want to edit from Terms & Holidays in the sidebar.
  2. In the Holidays section, click Add holiday.
  3. Enter a label (e.g. “Half-term break”).
  4. Set the start date and end date for the break.
  5. Click Save.

To edit a term, open it from Terms & Holidays in the sidebar and update the name or dates. To delete a term, click Delete term at the bottom of the term detail page.
