Disenrolling a Student

When a student leaves your studio, you can disenrol them in Clefora. Disenrolling is a status change that marks the enrolment as ended, while preserving the student’s full record.

Before disenrolling a student, check the following:

  • Outstanding invoices — Review the student’s billing tab for any unpaid invoices.
  • Exam entries — Any open exam entries remain on record but will no longer be actively tracked.

Disenrolling is done through the StatusBridge — the interactive status badge shown next to the student’s name on their profile.

  1. Open the Hub and go to the student’s profile.
  2. Click the status badge next to the student’s name (e.g., “Active”, “Enrolled”, or “Paused”). A dropdown of available transitions appears.
  3. Select Disenrol.
  4. In the confirmation dialog, enter a reason for disenrolment (required) — e.g., “Moved away” or “Lost interest”.
  5. Click Disenrol to confirm.
  • The student’s status changes to “Disenrolled” and the badge updates accordingly.
  • The student’s record is preserved — lesson history, progress data, exam results, and messages all remain accessible.
  • The student is not archived — they still appear in your student list unless you separately choose to archive them.

If a disenrolled student returns to your studio:

  1. Open the student’s profile on the Hub.
  2. Click the Disenrolled status badge.
  3. Select Re-enrol and confirm. The student’s status returns to “Enrolled”.

The student’s previous history (lessons, progress, exams) remains visible alongside new activity.
