Practice Goals
Practice goals are free-text descriptions of what a student should work on between lessons. You create them when completing a lesson, and parents can see them on their dashboard.
Creating practice goals
Section titled “Creating practice goals”When you complete a lesson, you can add one or more practice goals:
- In the practice goals section, click Add goal.
- Enter a description of what the student should work on (e.g. “Practise the first page of Minuet in G, hands together”).
- Optionally, enter a parent-friendly description — a simpler version of the goal for parents who may not understand musical terminology.
- Save.
Tracking completion
Section titled “Tracking completion”On the Hub, go to a student’s profile to see their practice goals. Each goal shows:
- Active — The goal has been set and is awaiting completion.
- Practised — The parent has marked the goal as practised.
- Completed — You (the teacher) have marked the goal as done.
On the mobile app, open the student’s profile to see the same list with completion status.
How parents interact with goals
Section titled “How parents interact with goals”Connected parents can mark practice goals as practised from their own Clefora account. This tells you the student has worked on the goal, but the final “completed” status is set by you (the teacher).
When a parent marks a goal as practised:
- The goal’s status updates in real time on your view.
- You can see that the parent has confirmed practice.
Filtering goals
Section titled “Filtering goals”On the student’s practice goals section, you can filter by:
- Status — Active or Completed.
