Sending Messages to Parents
Clefora includes built-in messaging so you can communicate with parents without needing to use personal email or phone. Messages are organised by student, making it easy to keep conversations in context.
How messaging works
Section titled “How messaging works”Messages in Clefora are organised into threads, one per student. When you message a parent about their child, the conversation sits within that student’s thread. This keeps everything organised and easy to find later.
Messages are delivered in real time. When you send a message, the parent sees it immediately on their Clefora dashboard. If they have push notifications enabled, they also receive a notification on their device.

Section titled “Sending a message”- Open the Hub and navigate to Messages in the sidebar.

Reading and replying
Section titled “Reading and replying”When a parent replies to your message, the thread updates in real time. Unread messages are indicated by a badge on the Messages icon in the sidebar (Hub) or tab bar (mobile).
To reply, simply open the thread and type your response. The full conversation history is visible in the thread, so you can scroll back to review previous messages.
Message notifications
Section titled “Message notifications”Parents receive notifications for new messages based on their notification preferences. You can also configure your own notification preferences to control how you are alerted to replies. See Notification preferences for details.
