Setting Practice Goals
Practice goals tell students and parents what to work on between lessons. You set them after completing a lesson, and they appear in the parent’s and student’s view so everyone knows what to focus on.
Creating practice goals
Section titled “Creating practice goals”- After completing a lesson, you are prompted to add practice goals. You can also add them later from the lesson detail page or the student’s profile.
- Click Add goal.
- Enter a description (e.g. “Practise bars 16-24 of the Sonatina, hands separately, at a slow tempo”).
- Click Save.
- After completing a lesson, tap Add practice goals.
- Enter a description.
- Tap Save.
How parents see practice goals
Section titled “How parents see practice goals”Active practice goals appear in the parent’s view of their child’s profile. Parents can see:
- The goal description.
- Whether the goal is active or completed.
Parents can mark a goal as practised on behalf of their child, which you see reflected on the student’s profile.
Editing and removing goals
Section titled “Editing and removing goals”To edit or remove a practice goal:
- Open the student’s profile and go to the Practice goals tab.
- Click or tap the goal you want to change.
- Edit the description or click Delete to remove it.
