During the Lesson
During a lesson, your focus should be on teaching. Clefora keeps the in-progress lesson experience minimal so it does not get in the way.
Lesson workflow
Section titled “Lesson workflow”Lessons in Clefora follow a simple workflow:
- Confirmed — The lesson is scheduled and ready.
- In Progress — The lesson has started (based on its scheduled time or when you manually start it).
- Completed — You mark the lesson as done and add notes and practice goals.
If a student does not show up, you can mark the lesson as No Show instead of completing it.
Starting a lesson
Section titled “Starting a lesson”When a lesson’s scheduled time arrives, you can start it from the mobile app or the Hub:
- Open the lesson detail.
- Tap or click Start Lesson.
The lesson moves to the “In Progress” state.
What to do during the lesson
Section titled “What to do during the lesson”Focus on teaching. After the lesson, you will complete it by adding:
- A lesson summary (visible to parents as a digest)
- Private notes (visible only to you)
- Pieces worked on from the repertoire library
- Practice goals for the student
These are all captured at completion time, not during the lesson.
Marking a no-show
Section titled “Marking a no-show”If a student does not attend:
- Open the lesson detail.
- Select No Show.
The lesson is recorded as a no-show in the student’s history. You can then decide how to handle billing (cancel, credit, or leave as-is depending on your policy).
