Completing a Lesson
Completing a lesson records what happened, captures your observations, and (optionally) shares a summary with the parent. It takes just a minute and builds a valuable record of each student’s journey.
Marking a lesson as complete
Section titled “Marking a lesson as complete”- Open the lesson from your Calendar or the student’s profile.
- Click Complete lesson.
- Fill in the completion form (described below).
- Click Save.
- Open the lesson from your calendar.
- Tap Complete lesson.
- Fill in the form and tap Save.
What to fill in
Section titled “What to fill in”The completion form includes:
Digest
Section titled “Digest”A summary visible to the connected parent. Use this to describe what the student worked on and any highlights. Keep the tone encouraging and informative.
Example: “We worked on the first movement of the Sonatina. Good progress on dynamics — the crescendo in bar 12 was much more confident this week.”
Private notes
Section titled “Private notes”Notes that only you can see. Use these for teaching observations, reminders for next time, or anything you want to track without sharing.
Example: “Needs more work on left-hand independence. Try Hanon exercise 3 next week.”
What happens after completion
Section titled “What happens after completion”When you complete a lesson:
- The lesson is marked as completed on your calendar.
- The digest and practice goals become visible to the connected parent.
- A lesson digest is sent to the parent (if configured).
