Recording Exam Results

After a student completes an exam, you can record the result in Clefora. Results are stored alongside the exam entry and are visible to the student’s parent, giving everyone a permanent record of achievement.

  1. Open the Hub and go to the student’s profile.
  2. Select the Exams tab.
  3. Find the exam entry and click Record result.
  4. Fill in the result details:
    • Outcome — Select one of: Pass, Merit, Distinction, or Fail.
    • Marks (optional) — Enter the total marks awarded, if available.
    • Notes (optional) — Add any additional comments, such as examiner feedback or areas to continue working on.
  5. Click Save.

The exam entry now displays the result alongside the original exam details. A result badge (e.g., “Distinction”) is shown on the student’s profile.

Once you save a result, the parent can see it on their dashboard under their child’s exam history. They see the outcome, marks (if entered), and any notes you have added.

If you need to correct a result (for example, after a remark or if you entered the wrong marks):

  1. Open the exam entry on the student’s profile.
  2. Click Edit result.
  3. Update the outcome, marks, or notes as needed.
  4. Click Save.

The updated result is reflected on the parent’s view immediately.

All recorded results are kept in the student’s exam history. You can view past results at any time by visiting the Exams tab on the student’s profile. This gives you a longitudinal view of the student’s exam journey across boards and grades.
