Creating Exam Entries

When a student is preparing for a music exam, you can create an exam entry in Clefora to track all the details in one place. Exam entries include the board, grade, instrument, and exam date, giving you and the parent visibility into upcoming exams.

  • The student is active in your studio.
  • You have selected the appropriate exam board. See Supported exam boards for the full list.
  1. Open the student’s profile and go to the Exams tab.
  2. Click Add exam entry.
  3. Fill in the details:
    • Exam board — Select from ABRSM, Trinity, RSL, RCM, LCM, MTB, or AMEB.
    • Instrument — Choose the instrument for this exam.
    • Grade — Select the grade level.
    • Exam date — Set the scheduled exam date (or leave blank if not yet confirmed).
  4. Click Save.

The exam entry now appears on the student’s profile and is visible to their parent.

You can edit any exam entry to update the date, board, or grade. If an exam is cancelled, delete the entry from the student’s Exams tab. Deleted entries are removed from the parent’s view as well.

Parents can see all exam entries for their child, including the exam date and status. This gives them a clear picture of upcoming exams without needing to ask.
