Creating Exam Entries
When a student is preparing for a music exam, you can create an exam entry in Clefora to track all the details in one place. Exam entries include the board, grade, instrument, and exam date, giving you and the parent visibility into upcoming exams.
Prerequisites
Section titled “Prerequisites”- The student is active in your studio.
- You have selected the appropriate exam board. See Supported exam boards for the full list.
Creating an exam entry
Section titled “Creating an exam entry”- Open the student’s profile and go to the Exams tab.
- Click Add exam entry.
- Fill in the details:
- Exam board — Select from ABRSM, Trinity, RSL, RCM, LCM, MTB, or AMEB.
- Instrument — Choose the instrument for this exam.
- Grade — Select the grade level.
- Exam date — Set the scheduled exam date (or leave blank if not yet confirmed).
- Click Save.
- Open the student’s profile and tap Exams.
- Tap the + button.
- Select the exam board, instrument, and grade.
- Set the exam date if known.
- Tap Save.
The exam entry now appears on the student’s profile and is visible to their parent.
Editing and deleting entries
Section titled “Editing and deleting entries”You can edit any exam entry to update the date, board, or grade. If an exam is cancelled, delete the entry from the student’s Exams tab. Deleted entries are removed from the parent’s view as well.
Parent visibility
Section titled “Parent visibility”Parents can see all exam entries for their child, including the exam date and status. This gives them a clear picture of upcoming exams without needing to ask.
