Setting Up Recurring Lessons

Most music lessons happen weekly. Recurring lessons let you schedule a student’s lesson once, and Clefora generates all the individual lesson entries for the term automatically.

Before creating recurring lessons, set up at least one term so Clefora knows the date boundaries.

  1. Open the Hub and go to Calendar.
  2. Click + Lesson.
  3. Select the student and instrument.
  4. Set the day of the week and time.
  5. Choose the duration and venue.
  6. Toggle Recurring on.
  7. Select the term the lessons fall within. Clefora uses the term’s start and end dates to generate the series.
  8. Click Save.

Clefora creates individual lesson entries for each week within the selected term, excluding any holiday periods you have configured.

Sometimes a specific week needs a different time or needs to be skipped entirely. You can handle this without disrupting the rest of the series:

  • Reschedule one lesson — Open the individual lesson and change its date or time. When prompted, select This lesson only to leave the rest of the series unchanged.
  • Cancel one lesson — Open the individual lesson and cancel it. The remaining lessons in the series continue as normal.

See Rescheduling and cancelling lessons for step-by-step instructions.

To change the recurring time for all future lessons in a series:

  1. Open any lesson in the series.
  2. Click Edit.
  3. Make your changes (e.g. new time or venue).
  4. When prompted, select This and all future lessons.
  5. Save.

To remove all lessons in a series:

  1. Open any lesson in the series.
  2. Click Delete.
  3. Select All lessons in this series.
  4. Confirm.
