Connecting Stripe

Before you can send invoices or receive payments through Clefora, you need to connect your Stripe account. Clefora uses Stripe Connect, which means payments from parents go directly to your bank account — Clefora never holds your funds.

  • You have a Clefora teacher account on the Hub.
  • You have a bank account that can receive Stripe payouts in your country.
  1. Open the Hub and go to Settings → Payments.
  2. Click Connect Stripe.
  3. You are redirected to Stripe’s onboarding flow. If you already have a Stripe account, you can sign in. Otherwise, Stripe will create one for you.

During the Stripe onboarding flow, you need to provide:

  1. Personal details — Your name, date of birth, and address.
  2. Identity verification — A photo of a government-issued ID (passport, driving licence, or national ID card). Stripe verifies this automatically.
  3. Bank account — Your bank account details for receiving payouts (account number and sort code, or equivalent for your country).
  4. Business details (if applicable) — If you operate as a registered business, you may need to provide your business name and registration number.

Follow the on-screen instructions and submit each section. Once complete, you are redirected back to Clefora.

After completing onboarding, the Settings → Payments tab shows your Stripe connection status:

  • Connected — Your account is verified and ready to accept payments.
  • Pending verification — Stripe is still reviewing your details.
  • Action required — Stripe needs additional information. Click the link to return to Stripe and provide what is needed.

Once connected, Stripe pays out your received funds to your bank account on a rolling basis (typically every 1–2 business days, depending on your country). You can view your payout schedule and history in your Stripe dashboard.

If you need to disconnect your Stripe account (for example, to connect a different account):

  1. Go to Settings → Payments on the Hub.
  2. Click Disconnect Stripe.
  3. Confirm the disconnection.
