Pricing Templates

Pricing templates are reusable rate presets that you name and assign to students. Instead of setting each student’s lesson rate individually, you create a template once (e.g. “60-min Piano Lesson”) and link it to every student who pays that rate. When the rate changes, you can update the template and propagate the new price to all linked students in a single step.

  1. Open the Hub and click Pricing Templates in the sidebar.
  2. Click Create Template.
  3. Fill in the fields:
    • Name — a descriptive label such as “30-min Guitar Lesson” or “Grade 5+ Piano”.
    • Rate — the lesson price in pounds (e.g. 45.00).
    • Set as default template — tick this if you want the template pre-selected when configuring new students.
  4. Click Create.
  1. On the Pricing Templates page, click the pencil icon on the template card.
  2. Update the name, rate, or default setting.
  3. Click Save.

If you changed the rate and there are students linked to this template, a Update Student Rates dialog appears. It lists every linked student together with their current rate and the new rate. You can select or deselect individual students, then click Apply to propagate the change. Click Skip to save the template without changing any student rates.

Templates are assigned through a student’s billing configuration:

  1. Open the student’s profile on the Hub.
  2. In the billing section, click Edit.
  3. Choose a pricing template from the dropdown. The lesson rate field updates to match the template’s rate.
  4. Click Save.

Once assigned, the student’s billing card shows a badge with the template name next to the rate.

  1. On the Pricing Templates page, click the bin icon on the template card.
  2. A confirmation dialog tells you how many students are currently linked. Linked students will be unlinked but their existing rates will not change.
  3. Click Delete to confirm.
