Student Experience Overview
Clefora gives students their own account so they can take an active role in their music education. Students can log practice, view lesson history, check upcoming exams, and see pieces assigned by their teacher.
How students access Clefora
Section titled “How students access Clefora”Students do not sign up on their own. A parent sends a student invite from their Clefora account, and the student creates their account by following the invite link. Once registered, the student can sign in on both the Hub (web) and the mobile app.
What students can do
Section titled “What students can do”Students have a focused set of features designed around their day-to-day music practice:
- Practice — View active practice goals set by the teacher and log practice sessions with quick-tap duration buttons.
- Lessons — Browse past and upcoming lessons, see lesson summaries, and review practice goals from each lesson.
- Exams — View exam entries registered by the teacher, including exam board, instrument, grade level, and target date.
- Repertoire — See pieces and exercises that have been covered in lessons (coming soon to the mobile app).
- Account — View profile information and sign out.
Hub vs. Mobile
Section titled “Hub vs. Mobile”On the Hub, students see a top navigation bar with links to Lessons, Repertoire, Exams, and Practice. A profile dropdown in the top-right corner provides access to Settings and Sign out.
The default landing page for students is the Practice page.
On the mobile app, students use a bottom tab bar with five tabs: Practice (home), Lessons, Exams, Repertoire, and Account.
Practice is the first tab because it represents the most frequent student action.
What students cannot do
Section titled “What students cannot do”Student accounts are read-only for most data. Students cannot:
- Create or edit lessons, exams, or repertoire entries.
- Send messages (messaging is between teachers and parents).
- View billing or invoice information.
- Change their password from within the app (contact your teacher for help).
