Viewing practice goals

Teachers set practice goals after each lesson to guide your child’s practice between lessons. You can view these goals at any time to help your child stay on track and know what to focus on.

Each practice goal has:

  • Description — What the student should practise, such as the name of a piece, a technique, or specific bars to work on. The teacher may also include a parent-friendly description with additional context.
  • Practised — Whether practice has been logged against this goal.
  • Completed — Whether the goal has been marked as complete by the teacher.
  1. Select Musicians in the sidebar.
  2. Click your child’s name.
  3. Open the Practice Goals section on their profile.

Active goals are shown at the top, with completed goals below. You can also see the most recent goals on your dashboard.

Each goal has two binary statuses:

  • Practised — Practice has been logged against this goal. The practised date is recorded so you can see when your child last worked on it.
  • Completed — The goal has been marked as complete. The completion date is recorded.
