Understanding milestones
Milestones in Clefora are individual achievements that the teacher records for your child. They mark notable moments in your child’s learning journey and help you see their progress at a glance.
What a milestone includes
Section titled “What a milestone includes”Each milestone has:
- Title — A short name for the achievement, such as “Grade 3 scales complete” or “First recital performance”.
- Description — Optional additional detail from the teacher about what was achieved.
- Status — Whether the milestone is not started, in progress, or completed.
- Target date — An optional target date for when the milestone should be reached.
- Completed date — When the milestone was marked as complete, if applicable.
Viewing milestones
Section titled “Viewing milestones”- Select Musicians in the sidebar.
- Click your child’s name.
- Open the Milestones section on their profile.
Milestones are listed with their status and dates.
- Tap your child’s card on the Home tab.
- Tap your child’s name.
- Scroll to the Milestones section.
The mobile app shows milestones in a card-based layout.
Milestone statuses
Section titled “Milestone statuses”- Not started — The teacher has set this as a future goal but work has not begun.
- In progress — Your child is actively working towards this milestone.
- Completed — Your child has achieved this milestone. The completion date is recorded.
How milestones are updated
Section titled “How milestones are updated”Only the teacher creates and updates milestones. They are based on the teacher’s professional assessment during lessons and are not tied directly to practice logs or curriculum progress.
