Messaging your teacher
Clefora includes built-in messaging so you can communicate directly with your child’s teacher. Conversations are organised into threads and update in real time, so you always have the latest messages.
Sending a message
Section titled “Sending a message”- Select Messages in the sidebar.
- Click on an existing conversation with the teacher, or click New Message to start a new thread.
- Type your message in the text field at the bottom.
- Click Send.
- Tap Messages in the bottom navigation.
- Tap an existing conversation with the teacher, or tap the compose icon to start a new thread.
- Type your message in the text field at the bottom.
- Tap Send.
Message threads
Section titled “Message threads”Each conversation with a teacher is a single thread. All messages between you and that teacher appear in one place, making it easy to find previous conversations. If you have multiple children with the same teacher, you share one message thread with that teacher.
Real-time updates
Section titled “Real-time updates”Messages appear instantly for both you and the teacher. When the teacher sends a reply, it appears in the conversation without needing to refresh. On the mobile app, you also receive a push notification for new messages.
When to message your teacher
Section titled “When to message your teacher”Common reasons to message your teacher include:
- Questions about practice goals or lesson content
- Letting the teacher know about an upcoming absence
- Asking about scheduling changes
- Discussing your child’s progress or exam preparation
- Queries about invoices or payments
Message etiquette
Section titled “Message etiquette”Clefora messaging is designed for teacher-parent communication about your child’s music education. Keep messages relevant and professional. For urgent matters that need an immediate response, consider calling or texting the teacher directly if they have shared their contact details.
